Last April my sister her boyfriend and I went to Oslo. It was quite a random decision to go there. The Airline Swiss had these special offers to fly to certain cities in Europe for less money than usual. We wanted to go to Budapest first but the tickets for that city were already sold out. So we decided that we wanted to go to a city in Scandinavia because we had never been there before. So we had to decide between Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo. In the end we chose Oslo and to be honest I can't remember why we chose Oslo, but we did!
We stayed at a cute little appartement that we found through the website Airbnb (https://www.airbnb.ch/?locale=de). So each day we would go to the city and just explore everything. We booked the Oslo Pass and with that we could use all the public transport for free and also most of the museums were cheaper or even free aswell with that Pass. So if you go to Oslo I really recommend getting the Oslo Pass.
We went to a Film Museum, to the National Resistence Museum, to the Holmenkollen-a ski jump- and we even went on a boat tour around the city of Oslo.
It was a really cool and spontaneous trip! We saw a lot and learnt a lot about Oslo and Norway aswell as it's people. We met a lot of nice people whom we chatted to and we got to see the beautiful nature around the city of Oslo.
Altogether I would really recommend you to visit the city of Oslo!
That's probably my favorite picture of all. This is the opera house. Such an artistic building!
That's an original bomb that the Germans dropped on Norway during the second world war.
Of course we always ate Kanelbolle (Cinnamon Bread) for breakfast. Very healthy!
You can probably tell that it was freezing cold on the boat tour. Oslo is a very windy city!
See y'all soon!
